We are recruiting an Independent Advocacy Worker
Forth Valley Advocacy is celebrating 25 years of delivering advocacy across Forth Valley and we are looking for an exceptional person to join our lively team.
If you are non-judgemental, have the ability to understand legislation that affects our clients and have experience of, or willingness to learn, various communication methods, we would like to hear from you.
As this role involves travel across the region you must have the ability to be mobile. In return we offer 6% pension contribution, 28 days leave plus 8 public holidays and a Death in Service scheme. We will consider job share.
Please see our job description & person specification to find out what the role entails and, if this is you, then please complete the application form using the application pack.
Volunteer Advocacy Workers – NOT RECRUITING AT PRESENT
We are looking for people with the right attitude and skills to train as Volunteer Advocacy Workers to advocate for people out in the community. We have a comprehensive training & development programme and pay all associated expenses.
We welcome enquiries from people looking to gain experience through volunteering in our organisation and are happy to talk to you about your area of interest. We have a number of volunteer opportunities in admin, research, IT, user involvement and more. Whether you are available for a couple of months or can commit to longer why not contact us to find out more?
If you have personal or life experience of any issues that impact on our clients, or of managing a company, we would love to hear from you. All board members must be accepted as members of Forth Valley Advocacy (there is no charge for membership) and all are elected at our Annual General Meeting unless co-opted on. Our board meet on the first Wednesday of each month generally no more than ten times a year.
Please call Shweta Kulkarni on 01324 557070 for more information on Volunteering with our service or Wendy Sharp about joining our Board.
